It is easy to stay in self when Holy Spirit begins to convict and bring a breaking/purging of self. This process is not meant for us to stay looking at ourself, but is meant to have us look up at Christ. If you are going through it keep going through it to Christ. We overcome Him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.
Revelation 12:11King James Version
“11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
What does it mean they loved not their lives unto the death? They did not love their lives more than Christ even if it cost them their very lives in the natural. If we truly want to know Father God it will cost us our lives so His Son’s life can replace it and He can truly live in us. This is when we find true LIFE here on earth. It’s a great exchange. We die and we choose to allow Him to live through us!
Colossians 1:27New International Version
“27 To them God has chosen to make known(A) among the Gentiles the glorious riches(B) of this mystery, which is Christ in you,(C) the hope of glory.”
In order for the Life of Christ to flow from our earthen vessel there is much breaking and humbling that has to happen. It’s a place where we choose to surrender our stuff to Him and let His substance- Holy Spirit to flow through us!
This Life of Christ is a place of humility and daily surrender where we choose to allow Holy Spirit to search our hearts to see if there be any wicked way in us and then surrender, repent , worship Christ Jesus!
Psalm 139:23-24New International Version
“23 Search me,(A) God, and know my heart;(B)
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way(C) in me,
and lead me(D) in the way everlasting.”
When we allow the breakings of life to cause us to run to the Father this is when the reality of Christ, substance of His Holy Spirit very presence begins to dwell/rest in us. The fruit of the breakings, dying to self and surrender to Christ will bring forth His very LIFE in us. In that life is joy abundantly!
