Lately many people’s faith, hope and hearts have been shaken through all that has been occurring in the nations, mine included. The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me that in this day and age we must anchor our hearts in the Hope of His pure word which is the sword of the Spirit.
Ephesians 6:17New International Version
17 Take the helmet of salvation(A) and the sword of the Spirit,(B) which is the word of God.(C)
Interesting that the word says take up the helmet of salvation. The helmet during battle covers our head which is where our mind is. The mind is where our thoughts and beliefs are formed which effect our Spirit which is our spiritual heart- life.
Romans 10:9-10English Standard Version
“9 because, if (A)you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and (B)believe in your heart (C)that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
That is why through Holy Spirit we must put on the helmet of salvation. The helmet is Jesus Christ. When we choose the mind of Christ, we make a decision to be committed to perfect love. We must take captive EVERY thought that denies perfect LOVE!
2 Corinthians 10:5New International Version
“5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,(A) and we take captive every thought to make it obedient(B) to Christ.”
It is time to stand in Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to fight through us! It is time to no longer come under the oppression of religion and man but to only stand in our identity which is Christ!
