Throughout this whole month of June Holy Spirit has been talking with me about making disciples of Christ, but before I can make disciples, I have to be a disciple of Christ! What does this look like?
Being a disciple of Christ is a daily surrender to lay down our ALL to take up His heart and ALLOW His thoughts to rule daily. We must make that decision and commitment to serve Him completely with EVERYTHING inside of us! It has to be a 100% commitment to lay EVERYTHING at His feet.
Being a disciple of Christ is simply being a vessel for God. It is realizing that apart from Him we can do nothing. He is calling us to come away, John 15 and abide in Him.
Everything that we will ever do comes from this place where we choose to lay our pride down, realizing that in our flesh dwells no good thing Romans 7:18 and Christ is our all in all. If we in our own strength, gifting annoiting attempt to do things without abiding in Him, John 15, says we will be thrown into the fire.
When we are transformed into Christ charachter we will make disciples of Christ.
Dear Father I pray for your body of Christ today that they will know your heart and make disciples of your Son as they abide in Him. In Jesus name Amen.
