We have free access to His Glory now!

In the old covenant we had to keep out distance from God’s Glory who rested on the Ark of the Covenant.

I was reflecting on what has tried to transpire durning the coronavirus. Litterally it has tried to keep the Body of Christ, families and friends at a distance in isolation. The enemy even wants us to isolate and turn away from God. However we are not under the old Covenant anymore but we are in the new Covenant. We are not at a distance with our God anymore. As a matter of fact King Jesus is the Mercy seat- He is the very glory of God.

“According to the Hebrew Bible the kaporet (Hebrew: הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת ha-kappōreṯ) or mercy seat was the gold lid placed on the Ark of the Covenant, with two cherubim beaten out of the ends to cover and create the space into which Yahweh was said to appear. This was connected with the rituals of the Day of Atonement.”

We now have free access to the Father  full of Glory because of Jesus! It’s His Glory we long for. It’s His truth we need in our very lives.
